It”s hard to believe it’s 2021 already. If you’re like me, you’re glad 2020 is over. To make this year better than ever, I’m going to give you some SEO tips that you can use to drive traffic to your site.
Set Up a Regular Blog Post
One of the best things that you can do is to have a regular post going up on your site. It doesn’t matter if it’s once a week, every two weeks, or once a month. You want to make sure that you are posting it regularly. As customers realize this and subscribe, they will know that on such and such a date, you will have new content for them to read.
Make the Content Engaging
Now, having a regular blog post is just the beginning. If the content that you post is boring and not helpful at all, people will ignore it. That also means they won’t be too interested in what you have to say. What this means is don’t just use your blog to advertise specials, although you can do that. But this shouldn’t be the main focus. You want to give your visitors information that they can use. Tips, secrets, mistakes, and more are all top options for types of blog posts that visitors will love.
Don’t Keyword Stuff Your SEO Blogs
Yes, keywords are important for bringing people to your site. However, keyword stuffing your blogs does two things:
- It makes the search engines angry.
- It makes your blog look sloppy.
People aren’t dumb. They will realize what you are doing. So, yes you want to include keywords in your blogs. But you don’t want to simply write for the search engines with your SEO. You want to write for your readers, too. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to a blog and immediately closed the page because it was sloppily written.
Again, you want to write for the search engines to get visitors to your site. But once the visitors are there, you want to keep them there because they are interested. Having them immediately close your site down because you don’t have anything interesting they want to read is defeating the purpose.
