Using the Dispatch Board and Waiting List

If you become an expert at using the features that the Dispatch Board offers, you will be able to find all the important information you need in seconds, so you can spend time focusing on ways to grow your business.
Using filters to segment your data will reduce the amount of time you need to spend getting your routes ready or finding valuable information. Some of the filters available are:
- Client Name
- Proximity Search
Each filter offers you a way to see the information you need, to make informed decisions about who to assign work to and where in the day the work should be performed. And, even how close to other customers the job you’re bidding is located (proximity search filter). All these can be stacked and saved as a view that can be reused with a few simple clicks.
Other essential uses of the Dispatch Board include routing jobs and saving the route order so you can easily use it again, dispatching the day’s jobs so they can be viewed on the mobile apps, printing paper route sheets, managing multi-day jobs, and keeping track of budgeted vs actual hours for your jobs, as well as closing out your day so you can be sure all your per unit and hourly jobs are going to be billed correctly.
The Waiting List looks very similar to the Dispatch Board, but it’s different in that it offers you a way to keep track of jobs you know you need to complete, but you aren’t quite sure of the exact date the job will be performed. Just by choosing the correct date in the date picker, you can see a list of all the work your company needs to get completed and it even tells you when jobs are past due (highlighted in red), so you can prioritize getting them done so no one slips through the cracks.
Service Autopilot offers two mobile apps that can be used by your field staff to keep track of assigned work, work completed and any job notes or special instructions that they might need while at the job site. You can even let them add services and products to the job if you set the correct user roles and rights. Before and after photos can be added, or even required, if you want to make sure you have a visual record of work completed.
This is where the money comes in. By accepting prepayments or charging credit cards in bulk, you can control your cash flow so that your business always has the money it needs to grow when an opportunity presents itself.
